Here are a few pictures of me taken in the last few months.

Work Tools

I use many tools at work but here are a few that belong to me. I might write more about the other tools another time.

Safety Glasses: The use for safety glasses is fairly self explanatory, but they protect your eyes from flying objects.

Calculator: The calculator is a very useful tool for figuring rate of production.

Utility Knife: My most actively used tool. I use it for all kinds of jobs, cutting open shrink wrapped skids, cutting open box bundles, and many, many more task uniquely fitted to a utility knife or any sharp blade.
Time Card: Clocks you in and out of work as well as jobs you on to different departments.
Gloves: Very useful in a production area that packages more mower blades than anything else. I have this set and the people who work on the the hang line (paint) have a cotton\Kevlar glove.

DVR Review

I mentioned before that we had gotten a DVR. What I didn’t say was that we actually have 2 DVR units one in the living room and one in Richard’s room. The DVR will record 20 hours of HD shows and I forget how many hours of SD shows. I didn’t really think that sounded bad till I missed a weekend of catching up. I guess 40 hour HD would have been better. I didn’t know I recorded that much but I didn’t really think about commercials. I really like the dual tuner, it allows me to record 2 shows at one time. I also like the way the shows all have names and are in chronological order. The only thing I’ve done different since getting it is to add on a SATA hard drive that expands my record time.

Snow Blower Review

I really like my snow blower. It seems durable and it will throw snow that is almost has tall as it is. I haven’t had it find anything it wouldn’t throw. Richard even hit a news paper one day and threw that. I really like the headlight. Makes it nice when your out late or early doing snow blowing.

Crystal's Move

The biggest change this past month was that Crystal moved out of the Myer’s household and into the Van Buren’s household. The move also will included the change of guardianship from Uncle Tim and Aunt Teresa to “Aunt” Valerie and “Uncle” Robert. I as a mostly third party see this move as a good choice for all the people involved. Crystal and I see each other almost twice a week. Crystal is settling in really well and she’s happy, so I’m happy for her.

Turbo Tax Review and Taxes

Turbo Tax Review and Taxes
I have all my taxes filled out at last. My Federal and State taxes were easy to fill out thanks to Turbo Tax’s online tools. I found the Turbo Tax site easy to use the first time, but very hard to refile. I messed up my social security number. Opps! I would think Turbo Tax’s developers would have counted on people having to refile, since I found that about half of people who e-file have to refile. Uncle Tim filled out my local taxes. I have to pay so they will wait to be filed until later. I have already received my returns from State and Federal.

¼ of Beef

Richard and I purchased a forth of beef. We had been buying beef every week at the store so this will
save us money and this beef taste better. I’m going to enjoy the roast from it. Richard doesn’t care for roast except for barbecued roast. We’ll both enjoy the steaks out of it and the hamburgers. I’m getting hungry just writing about it.

Uncle Robert and Aunt Valerie's Lifestyle Change

Uncle Robert and Aunt Valerie have also made a lifestyle change to their diet. They have removed processed sugar from their diet and are counting calories. They are following the Prism lifestyle change plan. (Yes I know I added to the the name.) The girls like to refer to it as the Prison diet. They look so good I know I don’t have the discipline to cut sugar and count calories.

Uncle Tim and Aunt Teresa's Lifestyle Change

Uncle Tim and Aunt Teresa have been watching fat consumption and lost a lot of weight as a result. They look so much better and I’ve noticed they have more energy too. They’re making this a lifestyle change. I wish I’d stuck with my diet and exercise regiment. I want the result without the work involved.
