Keeping It Real

Dear Readers,
I’m trying to write more often so you don’t just load images. I’m sorry about the large images. I’m aware not everyone will be able to load them. The old method I had for posting pictures isn’t working anymore. I’ll have to work on that this week.
I’m having a good day so far. I’ve been up since 5 A.M. I’m trying to condition for getting up for the drive to Willard. I know the time it takes to get there so I decided to begin getting ready for doing it everyday.
I’m sitting outside right now. It’s going to be a little warm here today. Molly has already decided it’s cooler in the sand we used to level the pool area.
Richard and I mowed the yard last evening. Now the yard needs raked, maybe this evening. We also walked about 30 minutes. It’s the most activity I’ve had since the surgery. I walked last Friday, but had to cut it short because I was beginning to notice some pain.
I should have brought my camera out with me. I didn’t know how long I was staying out here though. It’s really is a very nice calm day. Sorta wish I had waited to mow till this morning since it’s so nice.
I’m thinking I might cut some branches up I have laying in the corner of the yard. I want to make them easier to use in a fire pit. (I don’t have a fire pit, wonder why I need wood.)
Well, I guess that’s all for this post as I’m ready to go inside and get a drink.

P.S. Guess what I had for breakfast? I had…. you ready for this…. I had a can of tuna and a spoonful of peanut butter along with a protein shake. Yeah, I know sounds like something everyone wants. I thought it was pretty good actually. Now I’m having some water. Yum!

Here are a few pictures I’ve taken recently.

Our house a few days ago.

The house at time of purchase.

I removed the bushes just this spring. The tree and the bird bath, we removed almost right away. The mailbox was soon after. We installed the front privacy fence the first year we had the pool. I’m planning on reseeding the yard and planting the flower bed within the year.

Well, that’s all for now.

Well, once again I’ve had my assignment with a company through Spherion ended. I no longer work for CMI. I was told it was because I wasn’t fast enough. I think that it was a little more than that but I can’t prove it. I’ve been off for a week now.

I was called last weekend about a job in Willard, I thought MTD at once. I was right Midwest industries (MTD) in Willard is taking back temps they laid off last winter. They’re gearing up for a really big snow thrower season. I’m going back. I was offered same pay grade and first shift. I told them yes I’d work for them again. Like I had a lot of options. ;-) I start there June 1st. Orientation is the 22nd though. (This job is through Spherion as well.)

In other news I had a surgery to hopefully close up the ulcers I’ve delt with for over 2 years now. The more technical term for the ulcers is fissures though. The fissures have attached themselves to the rectum. I had a Seton placement surgery. It was a little more in depth than I first thought. They cut out all the dead or dying tissue which included any tissue that was scar tissue. That left a large area without any skin, just fat I would guess showing. In any case it’s not exactly comfortable but it doesn’t hurt now. I hope it heals quickly as I really don’t want to provide the care to the wound for very long. (Not that I haven’t taken care of the fissures for the last 28 or so months.)

Well, I’ll keep you posted I have some pictures of the house and some of Molly (my dog.) to upload soon.

The Role of an Autobagger.

Dear Readers,
Sorry, it’s been so long since I last wrote you. I’m going to tell you what my job entails at CMI.
As an autobagger I run an automated bagging system. Much like the one pictured below with one exception and that is a table over the entire unit to hold parts. Both of the machines I run are also much older than this one. One of them being from the 80s, I think.

So, here’s the run down on how my job plays out:
1. I receive a list containing a count and part number.
2. I go get the part from “B” stock and bring it up to the bagger.
3. I bag the part into either 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100, pcs. per bag.
4. I count my amount of parts after bagging using the bags instead of the parts.
5. I inventory the parts into a pack and pick bin location.
6. I then put the parts in the bin location recording the amount on a card in the bin.
7. I mark the part off the list with highlighter and move on.
8. That’s it, What did you think this was a hard job. lol

I’m also their auto boxer and a manual bagger. I’ll explain that in another post.
