Just Another Update On My Life

Dear Readers,
I’m enjoying a 4 day weekend. Friday was a mandatory shut-down day. I took Monday off since I’m delegate one of the delegates to district conference from our church.
Friday, Uncle Tim and I replaced the rear brakes on my Kia. They were a pain to get off and even harder to get back on. Uncle tim did most of the work on the first side but I did almost all of it on the second one. I would have done more on the first one but I’ve never changed drum brakes before. We stripped out a screw trying to take off the left rear brake so I got my first lesson in using easy-outs. I found out the noise I’ve been hearing since I got my car was my back brake. It was worn all the way down to the metal. The other one had come unbonded so it wouldn’t have worked much longer.
Saturday, I helped Uncle Tim mow the lawn at the parsonage and the church. I figured it was the least I could do, after he helped with my brakes. He didn’t get his lawn mowed or his church work done Friday night, because of helping me.
I’m doing well at my job. We’re making lots of snow blowers. We’ve been building these huge units, 30″ and 28″ ones. The basic unit is 24″ or 26″. These units have Ez-Turn, 4 way control shoots, headlight, electric start, edge markers, and hand warmers. It’s also the biggest engine I’ve ever seen on a snow blower, 387cc, 12hp if I remember right. I’ve built “dog covers” and I’ve also put the wiring harness on them. I wasn’t very good at the wiring harness but the dog covers were easy, but tore up my hands.
I’m on my way to Mt. Vernon right now. We’re going to represent Living Word Fellowship Wesleyan Church Inc. at the district rally day. I think it will be Uncle Tim, Aunt Teresa, L.T. Uncle Steve, Aunt Mary, and Myself. We were hoping more would go but it seem if they have to travel they don’t care to go to church. We’re all wearing our shirts that say the name of our church on the back on the front they say PRAY.
I’m listening to Billboard Top 40 right now. I’ve almost worn out my music at work since we’re aloud to listen to music. I’ve probably doubled my play count on my Zune since I started back I’ve listened to it almost 4 out of every 5 days. I’ve listened to Billboard Top 40 most of the time because it has a lot of hits on it and is very diverse from Rock to Rap to Country. I know Richard would appreciate the Country.
Well, better quite writing as I can’t get a handle on how much battery I have left before I run out.

July Shutdown!

Dear Readers,

I’m on July shutdown right now as you might have guessed from my title and the fact that I’m writing this at 12:30 in the morning. I got the first 2 weeks off in July. I go back to work the 13th of July. I have enjoyed my time off by working in the basement, going to visit family in the hospital, mowing the lawn, cleaning up the house, paying bills, putting up the pool, and relaxing. I applied for unemployment and it looks like I should get it for 1 of the weeks I’ll be off. I would get it for both if I had my wait week in, but sadly I do not have it in yet.

We are finally done with the basement. We went through the Christmas stuff, games, and books this past week. I have a large pile of trash on my curb for tomorrow’s trash pickup and a pile of books on the love seat for goodwill. I also have a bunch of boxes in my car for recycle. I hope all of it is gone before I start work again.

I have many albums up on my Gallery: http://www.mystarblog.com/Gallery/ I try to upload some pictures from every set I take. I haven’t yet got all the pictures watermarked but I’ve started working on it. I’m also trying to reorder them so they display by years taken. As you may have noticed or not I have several URL address for my blog now. I’m trying to move away from lostthem.net to mystarblog.com I will still keep the old address as it doesn’t cost me much to do so. I would like you to bookmark my blog at mystarblog.com though by hitting ctrl + D and saving the new address.
